Indiana Museum of Art
The Indiana Museum of Art is dedicated to showcasing contemporary art and providing a platform for artists and the community to engage with innovative works. Through exhibitions, educational programs, and community partnerships, the IMA aims to inspire and enrich lives through the power of art.
On January 8, 2025, the IMA announced the acquisition of a prime piece of property in downtown Logansport, marking a significant step in the museum’s mission to enhance its presence and accessibility to contemporary art across Indiana. The IMA, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, completed its purchase of the former Eagles Lodge at 201 S. 6th Street, on January 8, 2025. KJG Architecture of Lafayette is preparing exterior elevations and floor plans showing the planned, extensive renovations to the building’s exterior and interior. KJG’s work is funded by a grant awarded to the IMA by the Cass County Community Foundation.
The IMA is Indiana’s only museum with a singular focus on contemporary art. The IMA’s founders, Jason Myers and Andrew Miller, envision the IMA rapidly building a reputation throughout the Midwest by leveraging Jason’s stature as an artist and his national and international relationships with artists, galleries, and museums.
Construction costs for the renovations are expected to exceed $3 million and will be funded through grants and private donations. The building was purchased by local private donors. Planning is underway for a public reception on February 20 at Vibrant Event Center (https://vibranteventcenter.com) to kick off the IMA’s capital campaign.
