“Chalk the Block” chalk art festival kicks off July 26, 2025 in downtown Logansport

Logan’s Landing is thrilled to announce, “Chalk the Block”, chalk art festival free to the entire family. The festival will be the buzz of North Street between 5th and 6th on Saturday, July 26, from 2-7 p.m. with chalk artists, food and live entertainment. Kids can enjoy free chalk and activities in the “Lil Chalkers Zones”

Professional, Amateur, and Open Class chalk artists will transform the street into vibrant works of art while competing for over $800 in prizes. Artists can register now until July 18 by emailing loganart1911@gmail.com or visiting loganslanding.com > Events. Be sure to attend our award ceremony at 7pm day of the event when we announce the winners of all three contests.

Spectators are invited to sip, savor, and stroll the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) while watching artists’ creativity bring the pavement to life. Participating DORA establishments will offer special signature drinks just for the occasion and food vendors will tease your appetite with shaved ice, meatballs, tacos, sundaes, kettle corn and more while you enjoy music that will rock the streets with local musicians; Mike Almon, Tracy Boucher, and DJ Daniel Dominguez.

Keep your eyes on the sidewalks of our downtown corridor because something magical is afoot! From July 14 through the big day on July 26, colorful chalk footprints will pop up across downtown, connecting DORA spots, shops, and surprises. Each footprint leads you one step closer to Chalk the Block on North Street, where downtown comes alive with jaw-dropping chalk masterpieces.

It’s not just a trail, it’s a chalky countdown to creativity! So, grab your beverage, find the next footprint, and let your curiosity guide you to all the action July 26.
