
2025 holiday events in Logansport and Cass County, Indiana
There’s no place like home for the holidays and if you’re spending time in Logansport and Cass County this holiday season, here are a few of the things that will be happening:
Christmas in the Park
The lights in Spencer Park in Logansport will be on from dusk to dawn for Christmas in the Park November 25, 2025 through January 4, 2026. It’s free but free-will donations are accepted. You can scan a QR code at the end to make a donation. Monday and Tuesday are walk-through nights; Wednesday through Sunday are drive-through nights. Enter from High Street.
Turkey Trot
The Cass County Family Y organizes this annual event which features a 4-mile run or a 1-mile run/walk through Logansport on Thanksgiving morning. Get details on this year’s event here.
Carousel Rides
The Cass County Carousel at Riverside Park will be open Friday, Nov. 28 and Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025 from 1-5 p.m. and rides will be free thanks to a special “Thanks-for-Giving” Grant from the Cass County Community Foundation. More info here.
Home for the Holidays
Come enjoy the splendor of the Cass County Historical Society’s fully decorated, historic Long Home museum at 1004 E. Market St. in Logansport. Free Admission and support for the event is generously provided by Cass County Visitors Bureau. Extended Hours of Operation now through Christmas Eve: Thursday – Saturday, 1-4 p.m. Closed on Thanksgiving. Members Only Preview on Wednesday, Nov. 26 from 2-4 p.m. Public Debut Friday, Nov. 28 from 2-5 p.m. Meet and Greet with Santa in the Parlor on Dec. 6 from 1-4 p.m. Long Home Museum will close on December 20 and will be closed in January for annual cleaning and maintenance. It will reopen on February 1, 2026.
Light Up Logansport Parade & Community Christmas Tree Lighting
This annual holiday tradition held on the Friday after Thanksgiving starts at 6 p.m. and will travel down Broadway from 8th Street to 4th and Market in Logansport. Before the parade, there will be a free movie at the State Theatre at 2 p.m. Vendors will be operating and selling food and crafts in the area of the Depot. A press release listed 4 p.m. as the start time, but recent posts promoting the event have indicated that vendors will be on site from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2025. Immediately following the parade, Dan Anderson will be pulling the switch to light the community Christmas tree in memory of his father, Mike Anderson, at Iron Horse Park. Santa will also be present and greeting children in the Depot with special Christmas ornaments while they last. More info here.
Small Business Saturday and Downtown Christmas Open House
Shop small on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025! There’s a Small Business Saturday Vendor Fair at Iron Horse Park and Logan’s Landing will offer a “Travel Downtown” passport as part of their annual Downtown Christmas Open House event. Many businesses throughout the community will be having specials that day.
Breakfast with Santa
The Logansport Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 6. Pre-registration is required. Head to LogansportParks.com for more info.
Carousel WinterFest
The Cass County Carousel will host Winter Fest Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025 from 1-4 p.m.
Free Christmas Movies
The State Theatre will show a free movie before the Light Up Logansport Parade on Nov. 28.
Mary Max Cinemas will be showing free holiday movies on the Saturday mornings of Dec. 6, 13 and 20, 2025.
Twelve Mile Christmas Pageant
This annual tradition is held on the 2nd weekend of December in the town of Twelve Mile, which is about 12 miles north of Logansport on SR 16. This is a drive-through experience of the Christmas story. Santa & Mrs Claus will also be sharing cookies and crafts at the Twelve Mile Community Building during the pageant, which will be Dec. 13 and 14, 2025 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. More info here.
Holiday Shopping & Classes
There are several shopping, craft and vendor events, and local businesses offer classes, seminars and workshops all year long.
Visit Santa and meet the Grinch
Santa and the Grinch plan to stop by Ed Nason Insurance on the afternoon of Dec. 19, 2025, and Santa will be at Black Dog Coffee on Dec. 20. You can also check CassCountyCalendar.com to see other times he’ll be visiting Cass County ahead of Christmas Eve!
Shopping, Dining & Entertainment
Stores and restaurants in Cass County are waiting to welcome you as you shop local this holiday season. You’ll also find a variety of live music year-round!
Worship Services
Logansport and Cass County are home to many churches who will be hosting holiday services throughout the season.
Lights and Decorations
Residents put up some spectacular displays of holiday lights, so the holiday season is a great time to see the neighborhoods in our little city and towns. Logansport Utilities has downtown Logansport looking beautiful, with wreaths, snowflakes, candy canes, trees and bows on all of the light poles downtown – including the bridges – and on the Logansport City Building, plus you can visit Spencer Park for Christmas in the Park through the end of the year. There are also decorations and opportunities to visit with Santa in Walton, Galveston and Royal Center!
