Cass County residents invited to take part in county-wide spring clean-up efforts in April 2026

Residents across Cass County will have several opportunities this month to clean up their properties, get rid of unwanted items, and take care of spaces around their neighborhoods.

Here’s a look at the 2026 Spring Clean-Up events scheduled across Cass County:


2026 Cass County Clean Up Days

  • Friday, April 17, 2026 | 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 18, 2026 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Location:
    • Cass County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2281 E. CR 125 N, Logansport
    • Galveston Park, 101 S. Park Road, Galveston
    • 7100 W. CR 650 N, Royal Center
  • Acceptable Items at the above locations: Brick, Carpet, Concrete, Insulation, Rock, Lumber, Masonry, Metals (Pipe & PVC) , Plastic, Porcelain, Rigid Plastics, Tile
  • Location:
    • Cass County Solid Waste District, 15 Biddle Street, Logansport
  • Acceptable Items at the Solid Waste District: Batteries, Computers, fluorescent tubes, Microwaves, Monitors, Televisions, Tires, Sharps
  • NOT Acceptable*: Aerosol cans, Animals, Antifreeze, Appliances**, Asbestos, Barrels, Batteries, Chemical Products, Contaminated Oils, Dirt, Hazardous waste, Herbicides & Pesticides, Liquids, Lubricating oil, Medical Waste, Motor Oil, Oil filters, Other flammable liquids, wet Paint cans, Petroleum contaminated soil/lead paint chips, Propane tanks, Radioactive material, Railroad ties, Solvents, Transmission oil, Yard Waste.

City of Logansport Free Spring Clean-Up Event

  • Saturday, April 18, 2026 | 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Fairview Park, Logansport
  • Open to City of Logansport residents only
  • Three 30-yard Dumpsters available during the event for trash, household items and bulky items
  • Scrap metal accepted
  • Household hazardous waste and roofing materials will not be accepted (examples: paints, motor oil, medical waste, aerosol cans)

Logan’s Landing Downtown Green & Clean Day

  • Saturday, April 25, 2026 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Meet at the Logansport City Building
  • Volunteers will help with:
    • Litter pickup
    • Weeding and trimming
    • General downtown cleanup
  • Participants are encouraged to bring gloves and tools

Drug Take Back Day

  • Saturday, April 25, 2026 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Main Circle Drive, Parkview Logansport Hospital
  • Safe disposal of unused or expired medications
  • No questions asked
  • Sponsoring Partners: Parkview Logansport Hospital, Cass County Sheriff’s Department and Logansport Police Department
  • Please do not bring liquid medications, inhalers, aerosol cans, mercury thermometers, iodine containing medication

Celebrate Earth Day!

In addition, Logansport Parks & Recreation Department and Cass County Soil and Water Conservation District will be hosting a free Earth Day Fest at Riverside Park in Logansport from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, bringing together local environmental organizations and resources to help residents learn more about protecting and caring for the planet. The event will feature a variety of environmental booths offering information, demonstrations, and resources related to conservation, sustainability, and local environmental efforts. Families can explore at their own pace while engaging with organizations focused on soil, water, wildlife, and environmental stewardship. In addition to educational opportunities, Earth Day Fest will include free activities for all ages, with the Riverside Park carousel open throughout the event.
