Logansport Parks & Recreation Announces “Fourth of July at Riverside” for America’s 250th Celebration

The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce Fourth of July at Riverside, a full-day community celebration taking place Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Riverside Park in honor of America’s 250th Celebration.

Beginning at 8:00 AM and continuing through the day and ending with fireworks at 10:00 PM. The event will feature live entertainment, family activities, food vendors, recreation games, community events, and patriotic fun throughout Riverside Park.

“This year’s Fourth of July celebration is about so much more than fireworks! It’s about community and all of us coming together for one amazing day.” said Jacqueline Dwigans-Merritt, Recreation Director for Logansport Parks & Recreation. “We wanted to create a day where families, friends, and neighbors could celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, and make lasting summer memories right here in Logansport.”

The day will begin with the Riverside Bike Parade, with registration opening at 8:00 AM and the parade beginning at 9:00 AM. Community members are encouraged to decorate their bikes, wagons, scooters, and strollers in patriotic themes and join the celebration.

Additional featured activities include:

• Kickball Tournament powered by Tyson Foods • Riverside Carousel rides available throughout the day • Mini Golf open during festivities

• All-Day Family Fun Zone with recreation games and activities
• Live music featuring CounterPointe and the Grace Scott Band
• America 250 Sing-Along Experience featuring Hamilton sponsored by the 250 Committee, Cass County Historical Society, Stand Up Cass County and the Logansport Parks Department.
• Food trucks, vendors, and community partners
• Glow giveaways and nighttime festivities leading into fireworks

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and spend the day enjoying the community atmosphere along the river.

The Kickball Tournament will feature teams of 8–10 players competing for trophies, medals, and a “Best Dressed” award. Registration for the tournament must be completed before July 3, 2026. Powered by Tyson.

Fireworks will begin at 10:00 PM over Riverside Park.
