Patriot Park – 133 W. Wheatland Ave.

At their meetings on February 5 and March 4, 2024, the Logansport City Council approved an ordinance to rezone approximately 2.5 acres of land at 133 W. Wheatland, which is currently used as Patriot Park. The Parks Board has marked this park as surplus per Res. 2021-18. The request was to rezone from open Space to high density residential.

A notice of real estate for sale by the City of Logansport Redevelopment Commission published in the Logansport Pharos-Tribune on March 26 and April 2, 2024 states that at its meeting on April 24, 2024, the Commission will open and consider written offers for the purchase and redevelopment of the real estate located at 133 W. Wheatland Ave.

According to the notice, the property to be sold consists of vacant land located at 133 W. Wheatland Avenue, Logansport, Indiana 46947. The Property is 3.17 acres in size or 138,085 SF. B. The Property will be available for residential uses allowed in the R4, High Density Residential District.

Offering Packet and Bid Deadline Offering packets may be picked up in the Logansport City Hall between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays or may be sent electronically upon request. The notice states that the Commission is interested in development proposals which seek to develop the Property and transform it into residential to attract new residents into the neighborhood.
