There’s no place like home for the holidays and if you’re spending time in Logansport this holiday season, here are a few of the things that will be happening:
The Cass County Family Y organizes this annual event which features a 4-mile run or a 1-mile run/walk through Logansport on Thanksgiving morning.
The Cass County Carousel at Riverside Park will be open Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023 from 1-5 p.m. and rides will be free thanks to a special “Thanks-for-Giving” Grant from the Cass County Community Foundation.
Light Up Logansport Parade
This annual holiday tradition held on the Friday after Thanksgiving will feature 60 entries in 2023. The parade starts at 6 p.m. and will travel down Broadway from 8th Street to 4th Street in Logansport. The Light Up Logansport Facebook page has a list of downtown businesses that will be open on Friday. There’s also a free movie at the State Theatre after the parade.
Logansport Utilities will be providing a free “selfie station” before and during the annual Light Up Logansport parade. A holiday backdrop featuring lights and holiday props will be set up in the Logansport City Building parking lot on Friday, November 24, 2023, before and during the 6:00 p.m. parade.
Community members and parade goers are invited to walk over to the selfie station to take photo selfies or group pictures with their cell phones or cameras. There is no fee to participate. If photo takers want to share these images with others, they can tag @LogansportUtilities on Facebook or hash tagging #LogansportUtilities or #LightUpLogansport on Instagram.
Christmas in the Park
The lights in Spencer Park in Logansport will be on from dusk to dawn for Logansport Christmas in the Park November 24 through January 1. Enter from East Broadway and Cass Plaza Road. It’s free but free-will donations are accepted. You can scan a QR code at the end to make a donation. Monday and Tuesday are walk-through nights.
The Cass County Carousel will host Winter Fest Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. Santa arrives at 2 p.m. and the event will include face painting, a kids activity table, horse and wagon rides, carousel rides, vendors and raffles.

Visit Santa and meet the Grinch
Santa and the Grinch plan to stop by Ed Nason Insurance on the afternoon of Dec. 21, 2023.
Logansport is home to many churches who will be hosting holiday services throughout the season.
Lights and Decorations
Logansport residents put up some spectacular displays of holiday lights, so the holiday season is a great time to see the neighborhoods in our little city. Logansport Utilities has downtown Logansport looking beautiful, with wreaths, snowflakes, candy canes, trees and bows on all of the light poles downtown – including the bridges – and on the Logansport City Building, plus you can visit Spencer Park for Christmas in the Park through the end of the year.
Wishing you and yours a very merry holiday season and a wonderful 2024!
