August 14, 2024 Logansport Parks and Recreation Board Meeting and Public Hearing at Board of Works Meeting

The August meeting of the Logansport Parks and Recreation Board will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in the City Council Chambers on the third floor of the Logansport City Building.

Items of new business on the agenda for the Parks Board’s meeting include acceptance of management of the Urban Park, now known as Iron Horse Park, and the use of DORA standards for special events at Heritage Park, Little Turtle Waterway and Iron Horse Park.

Old business includes the memo of understanding with the Logansport Community School Corporation (tabled), and resolutions requesting the addition of full-time staff positions and request for 2024 auction proceeds.

There are also be reports from the parks administrator, recreation director, maintenance and golf course manager, along with times for visitor comments and board member comments.
