Deichman Excavating will begin mobilizing equipment and materials for the Erie Avenue Phase I project May 16, 2022.
Phase 1 of the Erie Avenue project will involve the total reconstruction of Erie Avenue (including new sidewalks and curbs) from 5th to 8th Streets in downtown Logansport and will also include work on 5th Street.
Residents and businesses should begin seeing construction signs installed the week of May 16 and Erie Avenue will officially close for the summer on Monday, May 23 as the contractor begins excavation and installation of the new storm system.
A signed detour route will be setup along Market Street and down 12th Street. 5th Street will remain open the entire duration of construction and while asphalt is resurfaced and new sidewalks are installed later in the year.
Access to local properties will be maintained by the contractor for the entire duration of the project.
