Enforcement of noise regulations in Logansport

The Logansport Police Department shared the following statement on their Facebook page on June 16, 2025:

Noise Enforcement Statement:

With the summer months upon us, we at the Logansport Police Department encourage the citizens to enjoy the weather and outdoor activities. To maintain a safe, healthy, and peaceful environment for all members of our community, we are committed to enforcing local noise regulations as outlined in City Ordinance, 2007-18.

Please refrain from any unreasonable, excessive, or prolonged noise that disrupts the peace. These violations will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, loud music, parties, construction noise, motor vehicles, and amplified sound systems.

With several complaints and concerns in areas of the city the Logansport Police Department will step up enforcement. All residents, businesses, and visitors are expected to comply with the established noise limits. Violations may result in warnings, fines, or further legal action depending on the severity and frequency of the infraction.

To report a noise concern, please contact Cass County Central Dispatch 574-722-6060 with specific details such as time, location, and nature of the disturbance.
