Free rides on the Cass County Carousel December 26 and 27, 2022 courtesy of Alpha Phi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority

Alpha Phi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority has generously made a gift to pay the operating expenses of the Cass County Carousel for the Monday and Tuesday opening after Christmas and will allow all rides to be free.

In announcing the gift, member Deanna Crispen said, “Alpha Phi is one of several local chapters of Beta Sigma Phi, a social and cultural organization, but we also focus on service to the community. The sisters in my chapter believe that this gift is a fantastic way to give many families a fun alternative after the Christmas rush.”

The sorority annually makes and sells cheeseballs to fund various charitable organizations and community needs. The cheeseball project has provided funds to support families in crisis, scholarships, food pantries, Relay for Life, Salvation Army, after proms and other charitable causes.

The Carousel will be open both Monday, December 26 and Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 1-5 p.m.
